CHRIST The Only Way

God is omniscient, that is for sure. When God makes a promise or a covenant with anyone, it is as set in stone. God will not or even cannot break his own laws or promises, or His Word would not be Eternal.

Ezekiel 28:14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. V15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.

See In the Beginning.

God set Lucifer into a position of total authority over all of His creations in the beginning before He remade the earth. When iniquity was found in Lucifer, his name was changed to Satan, and he lost his power. Just as the Jewish nation did, Lucifer broke the covenant with God.

God once again restored the earth to its original condition, able to sustain life once again, and God placed Man into His new recreated garden to be the ruler over his creation where Satan failed. Satan has lost his position of authority as a mighty ruler, so by the use of trickery, he comes to Eve as a snake.

2 Corinthians 11:3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtlety, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
Revelation 20:2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,

Iniquity was then found in God's new creation, man. God had set man into this new position, and man has failed with the same iniquity that caused Satan to lose his power. This caused God -- by his own words to Lucifer, and I have set thee so -- to give the power back to Satan from whom it was taken. God would not be subject to playing favorites.

Lu 4:6 And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it. V7 If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine.

Satan has power once again on this earth, as he did in the beginning, because of the fall of man. That puts mankind under the hand of an evil power. Mankind would be doomed if not for the love of our Creator. As soon as man fell in the garden, God promised to man a Savior.

Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

This promised enmity was to be Jesus Christ, our Savior, from the evil Satan would put on mankind. Notice the small "g" when speaking of the god-like power instilled in Satan.

2 Corinthians 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

This god of this world will rule with its evil till Jesus returns from heaven and puts an end to the evil rule of Satan.

Matthew 22:44 The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool?

The Church has been selected as a separate group that is not to be of this world but is to be apart from it.

Ephesians 3:9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: V10 To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God, V11 According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:

James 4:4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

1 John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. V16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

All of the horrible things that go on in this earth with the wars and killing, sickness, and death are all under the power of this world's ruler, the little "g" god of this world. Jesus is our Savior from not only the torments of Hell after death but also while we are alive on this earth. We have the same hedge of protection provided to Lot when we turn from sin and follow Jesus. This saving grace is offered to every person on the face of this earth. Free will is whether the person believes the gospel or not.

Job 1:10 Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.

When we as a born-again changed Christian believe in the saving grace of Jesus Christ and live in this world, we are protected from the wiles of the devil. We are protected by the hedge of protection that God provides his followers. No evil can penetrate from the outside to harm us, but when we falter and turn from God, we choose to bring the evil in through God's protective hedge and allow the evil on ourselves. Our old sin nature says look at that pretty picture of a naked girl. If we are strong in the Lord, we turn away. No sin has been committed, so the hedge is strong. If we pick up the picture and lust over it, then take it home for future lustful enjoyment, then we have punctured the protective hedge God provided and the evil can attack us. Can the hedge be repaired? Yes, by repentance, which means turning away from sin. A person is offered a drink. Do we take it? Jesus made wine from water. If the wine was the sin, then Jesus could not have part with it. A drink in moderation is not sin. When we indulge in more than a moderate amount, then we become weak in spirit. The body is made easier for the evil to tempt the believer, so the believer then indulges in the sin. Then the sin is inside of the hedge because of our own actions. Satan can now cause harm in our world that he could not before we allowed the sin to enter ourselves.

Ephesians 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. V11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. V12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

What is our protective armour of God?

Ephesians 6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. V14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness.

The breastplate of righteousness protects your loins or stomach area. When you are sickened by evil speech that someone is yelling at you or when you lie to get out of trouble, where do you feel it? In the pit of your stomach, or your loins. Keep your speech and your tongue under control, and the righteousness of your actions will protect your spirit so you don't feel sick in the pit of your stomach from sin.

Ephesians 6:15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace.

Walk away from confrontation whenever possible. We are to be the peacemakers of this world.

Ephesians 6:16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

Keeping your mind on the things of God will keep you from lusting after the things of the world. That will make it very hard for evil to tempt you.

Eph 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: V18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.

Above all, lean on Jesus for every need that comes up. Salvation comes from our Lord Jesus, and every gift known to man comes through Jesus Christ for those that love him and follow in his Word.

James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

1Corinthians 1:4 I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ; V5
That in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge; V6 Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you: V7 So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ: V8 Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. V9 God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

Pray for strength, pray without ceasing, pray to be Worthy of His Holy Name.

Luke 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

Titus 2:13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ.

God Bless,
