CHRIST The Only Way

Prophecies that prove a pre-trib Rapture
beyond a shadow of a doubt.

This is an attempt to end the confusion between the Rapture and the second coming of Christ.  Too many times people get confused between the two and they want to lump them together as one happening.  This cannot be done and still maintain the constant flow of the unbroken truth that the Holy Bible gives us.  The Bible should be looked upon as a fine piece of orchestrated music.  When the flow is maintained, the music flows through your ears and brings satisfaction and enjoyment to the listener.  The musician leaves out one chord, and the whole piece causes a large range of feelings from confusion and anxiety to temper tantrums and arguments.  The Bible was inspired by God.  The prophets were given inspiration to write, and the Holy Spirit told them what to write.  Most of the old prophets didn't even understand all that was told to them by God, so they wrote by faith.

Daniel is one good example of this when he asked the man clothed in linen, standing upon the water. Daniel 12:8, And I heard, but I understood not.  Daniel wrote what he was told to write, but the words would not be understood till the times were right.  Daniel 12:4, But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.  We are that generation he is speaking of.  We have vast knowledge to the point that some think they are God.  Travel has become a second nature to us, as we think very little about going around the world as if it were to the next town.  The prophecies of old are for us to understand and look forward to.

Let's compare some promises given to us through scripture. John 14:2, In my father's house are many mansions, if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.  V.3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself, that where I am, there ye may be also.  The place Jesus goes to prepare for you, or us, is the chamber in heaven.  The Jewish groom builds a room or addition to the father's house to house the bride for the bridal week.  He then returns for his bride, and they are sealed away in the chamber called the "chupah," in Hebrew, and remain sealed in for one week.  This is the marriage week.  Some examples of this are in Judges 14:17, and she wept before him the seven days, while their feast lasted.  This was in the wedding chamber for the week.  Also in Gen. 29:27, Fulfil her week...  This is an example of what we are to expect when Jesus comes at midnight to take his bride to his heavenly chamber that he went to prepare, for his bride, the church.

This is in strong contrast to the return of Christ to rule on the earth for the millennial, or 1000 years.  Zechariah 14:4, And his feet shall stand in that day upon the Mount of Olives.  This is where he left from to go and prepare thechupah for his bride.  Acts 1:11, this same Jesus...shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

In John 14:3, He receives us unto himself.  1 Thess. 4:17, He meets us in the air.  2 Thess. 2:1, We are gathered together unto him.  Christ is coming for his own and is known by his own.

1 Thess. 3:13, Jesus comes back with all his saints.  Jude, Verse 14, Enoch says, The Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints."  Rev. 19:14, Jesus comes with the armies of heaven, clothed in white linen.  This is the wife from V.7, she hath made herself ready.  The wife is ready to go to the Battle of Armageddon with Christ and then rule for 1000 years with Christ.

When we are raptured, the world doesn't see Jesus because we meet him in the air in the twinkling of the eye!  1 Corinthians 15:52.  When Jesus returns with his church to do battle with the nations that are attacking Israel, every eye shall behold him and every knee shall bow, Rev. 1:7 and Philippians 2:10.  He comes in the air in 1 Thess. 4:17, and he comes to the earth in Zech. 14:4.

No man knows the day nor the hour that the Lord will come for his bride, but after the wedding week we are given a very detailed numbering of days to look for his return to the earth, Daniel 12:11.  Once the Rapture happens, we can tell in the Bible the exact day to expect the return of the Lord with his saints.  My hope is that I will be returning with Jesus rather than still looking for him.

The parable of the ten virgins show Jesus as the bridegroom.  Half of the brides or people are ready and half are not.  In the Rapture, Jesus takes half to the wedding and the rest go through the tribulation period.  Revelation 2:10, Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.  Luke 21:36, Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

In Luke we see Jesus coming back from the wedding.  Luke 12:36, And ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately.

When Jesus takes us to the place in heaven that he has prepared, he will judge our life and give us crowns for rewards. James 1:12, Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.  1 Peter 5:4, And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.  Revelation 3:10, Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of  temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. V.11, Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.

John sees the 24 elders by the throne of God and they have their crowns on their heads.  This must be after the judgement seat of Christ has taken place.  Revelation 4:4, And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.  Revelation 4:10, The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying...  As the elders do with their crowns, we will also realize it was Christ and not ourselves that deserves the glory.  Then begins the tribulation on earth.

2 Corinthians 5:1-8

For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house made without hands, eternal in the heavens.  For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven.  We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

Philippians 3:20-21

For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the savior, the Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able to subdue all things unto himself.

Ephesians 5:25-27

Even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, that he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

Colossians 3:4

When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

1 John 2:28

And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.

1 Peter 5:4

And when the chief shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.

2 Thessalonians 2:1

Now we beseech you , brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by the gathering together unto him.

1 Thessalonians 5:23

And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first; Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air; and so shall we ever be with the lord.

** Notice we meet them in the air.  The Lord does not come to earth at this time.

** Who will be in the raptured church?  Those who are worthy.

Luke 21:36

Watch ye therefore, and Pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.

Ephesians 4:1

I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called.

Ephesians 5:8

For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light... (10) proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.

2 Thessalonians 1:11

Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power.

** More is required to be worthy than just a laid-back, don’t-care, I-am-saved attitude to be worthy of the Rapture.

Matthew 22:8

Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy.

Matthew 10:37-38

He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.  And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.

2 Corinthians 13:5

Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves.  Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates.

The purpose for the Rapture to come is to fulfill the promises to the church and to set up the judgment seat of Christ and give out the rewards to the people that worked for the Lord on earth.

2 Timothy 4:8

Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

Here are some references to the second coming of Jesus to the earth.  This
happens at the last trump.  For it to be the last trump, we must realize there were other trumpet blasts at the Rapture and at the rapture of the man-child or 144 thousand virgin men at the middle of the tribulation.

Matthew 24:29-31

Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:  And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven:  and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.  And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

1 Corinthians 15:51-52

We shall not all sleep but shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump:  for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

Daniel 2:44

And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.

Daniel 7:13-14

I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.  (14) And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.

Zechariah 14:4

And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which his before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.

Matthew 25:31

The Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory.

2 Thessalonians 1:7-9

And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:  Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power.

2 Thessalonians 2:8

Then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming.

Jude 14-15

Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed.

Joel 3:16

The Lord also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the Lord will be the hope of his people.

Revelation 1:7

Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him.  Even so, Amen.

Revelation 19:11, 21

And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.  V.21 And the remnant were slain with a sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

The Rapture (or gathering together of the saints)
and the second coming of Christ are two completely separate events. In the first three chapters of Revelation, the church is spoken of 17 times, but after Chapter 4:1 (after this), it's never mentioned again as being on the earth till it returns to earth as the Bride of Christ to reign through the millennium.  The book of Psalms places these two events within 13-1/2 years of each other.  This information is contained in the book, Tell it to the Generation Following.

God Bless!!!
