CHRIST The Only Way

Promised by God the Father, prophecied by the prophets, verified by the disciples, confirmed in the hearts of his followers around the world -- His name is JESUS.  Born of a virgin, raised by a carpenter, baptised by a prophet of God, betrayed by his own people, killed by the Roman government, buried in the tomb of a rich man, raised from the dead by God the Father, brought into glory to sit at the right-hand of God where he now intercedes for his followers.

This site is dedicated to the teachings of Jesus Christ and his prophets, all for the glory of God.  What is written here will attempt to explain prophecies and promises made by God through His Word for the future.

Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me.
John 14:6

John 1:29 says,
The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

Revelation 5:5,
And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.

Born as a man, in the image of God, Christ thought himself to be equal with God.

2 Cor. 4:4,
In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

John 5:18,
Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.

John 1:1,
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

John 1:14, And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Born to a Jewish maiden by the name of Mary, Jesus fulfilled many prophecies made by God the Father and through His prophets. The first mention of the promised Savior, Jesus Christ, was given in Genesis 3:15.

Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

The oldest book written in the bible was Job, and he was looking forward to Jesus.

Job 19:25 For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:

Abraham spoke of Jesus when he looked into the future and saw Jesus on the cross.

Genesis 22:8 And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.

King David Looked forward to Jesus when he wrote the Psalms.

Psalms 2:7 I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.

Psalms 2:12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

The prophets told of Jesus coming.

Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Even where He would be born was prophecied.

Micah 5:2 But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.

The lineage of Jesus was prophesied.

Isaiah 11:10 And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.

Isaiah 12 tells the story of Jesus , His purpose, and His actions. All fulfilled as prophesied.

Isaiah 53:1 Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed? V.2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.

400 years of no contact from God the Father to His prophets, between Malachi and Matthew, and Jesus comes on the scene as a root out of dry ground.

Isaiah 53:3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

Rejected by His own people whom He came to save from destruction. Jesus was betrayed and even killed by His own.

Isaiah 53:4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. V.5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

By the torture Jesus endured in our place on the cross, as a sinless sacrifice, He made open the Way for us to enter into glory.

Isaiah 53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. V.7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.

We do not deserve to enter into God's Kingdom, but because Jesus endured the pain for us, took our place, we are now acceptable to the Father in Jesus' name.

Isaiah 53:8 He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken. V.9 And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.

Jesus was buried in a rich man's tomb even though He lived a poor man's life.

Jesus did this willingly for us out of great love.

Isaiah 53:10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand. V.11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities. V.12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

Jesus hung on the cross between two criminals and paid the sin debt for the world. All a soul needs to do is to follow Jesus in life to gain eternal life.

After 400 years of silence from God there appeared a man called John the Baptist who would be the forerunner to Jesus. He was the cousin of Jesus and lived in the deserts till the time appointed to tell of the coming of Jesus Christ to save the world. John then began baptizing people who believed in the coming Messiah in the name of Jesus. John told the people of this Jesus .

Luke 3:16 John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire.

Then Jesus came to be baptized Himself. It was time for his ministry to begin.

Luke 3:21 Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened, V.22 And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased. V.23 And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli.

At the age of 30, Jesus was ready to begin his work on earth. A Jewish priest must be 30 years of age according to the laws of God. Jesus knew who He was early in life. At the age of 12, He was found explaining God’s Word to the learned men in the temple.

Luke 2:46 And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions. V.47 And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers. V.48 And when they saw him, they were amazed: and his mother said unto him, Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? behold, thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing. V.49 And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business?

Later Jesus read more scriptures for the priests.

Luke 4:17 And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, V.18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, V.19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. V.20 And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him. V.21 And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.

Jesus left no doubt as to who He was and His purpose for coming to this earth. Paul proclaimed Jesus to be our High Priest.

Hebrews 5:8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; V.9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him; V.10 Called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec.

Jesus now intercedes for His followers from the throne of God Almighty and will return to earth soon.

Acts 2:33 Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear. V.34 For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, V.35 Until I make thy foes thy footstool.

When Jesus returns to earth, we will easily know Him by His Glory.

Revelation 19:16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

Jesus had no servants,

yet they called Him Master.

Had no degree,

yet they called Him Teacher.

Had no medicines,

yet they called Him Healer.

Had no army,

yet kings feared Him.

He won no military battles,

yet He conquered the world.

He committed no crime,

yet they crucified Him.

He was buried in a tomb,

yet He lives today.

I feel honored to serve such a Leader!
